Welcome to the Turkey section of my travel blog! Here I share my first-hand travel experiences. Explore with me this beautiful country, from the stunning landscapes of Cappadocia to the bustling streets of Istanbul. Discover hidden gems and must-visit destinations, such as the ancient city of Ephesus or the underground city of Derinkuyu.

So, what can you expect from my blog?

First and foremost, my personal travel experiences to all the destinations. I also delve into the country’s cuisine, including some of the more unusual dishes such as chicken dessert and raw sheep brain salad 🤪. Additionally, I cover most of the hiking trails in the region. You probably know the Lycian Trail, but have you ever heard of the Saint Paul Trail or Mount Nemrut?

I have been to Turkey over 10 times in my life.

When I was younger, I loved spending time on the beach with my parents. On the free time we were exploring nearby ancient ruins and natural wonders. Later on, I discovered the vibrant city of Istanbul. It is a great place to spend a few days or even a few months.

In 2021, during the pandemic, my husband and I hitchhiked through southeastern Turkey, also known as Turkish Kurdistan. I was glad to find out how hospitable and friendly Kurdish people are. We also visited Cappadocia and Pamukkale, my two favourite places in Turkey.

Another my favourite trip was to the ancient sites of the Hittite Empire, such as Yazilikaya and Hattusa. I also loved the big Muslim city of Konya and the tiny historical town of Amasya… As you can see, I’ve traveled quite extensively in Turkey. And I still want to go back! So let me share my experiences with you!
